The Körber-Stiftung and THE CIVICS Innovation Hub collaborated to organise the one-time Bridging Gaps Award 2024. NGOs across Europe and neighbouring countries, that have successfully implemented youth projects fostering unity in polarised societies, were invited to apply. The winner of the Award was the organisation Solutions Not Sides.
General information
The award was to be given to a non-governmental organisation that is constantly active in the field of civic education. The awarded organisation received €10.000 for scaling up successful formats, programmes, or methods.
The programmes or activities should have demonstrated innovation, impact, and sustainability in bridging gaps between young people with distinct political, national, religious, cultural, or ethnic affiliations. We favoured programmes that included a critical reflection on the historical roots of current conflicts in their work.
Chosen organisations were also included in upcoming NECE, EUSTORY, and Körber-Stiftung activities such as online webinars, workshops, and trainings.
