Anabell Mora Acevedo
Anabell Mora Acevedo is co-founder and CEO of Equivalence World, a Lisbon startup working so that migrating does not mean starting from zero. Multicultural work has shaped her since 2008, when she founded the AIESEC local committee at her university and began volunteering with indigenous and migrant communities. She holds a degree in Social Communication and studies in Economics from Universidad Central de Venezuela, and a Product Strategy certification from Kellogg, Northwestern University, with fifteen years across companies like Microsoft, CAF, BID and Laboratoria. Then she emigrated — to Chile (2017-2022), and in 2022 to Portugal — and spent her first years of migration in customer service, far from her profession. She now builds technology against brain waste with two other migrant women, and speaks about what crossing a border does to a career, a life, and a sense of who you are.
