Carmen Garcia de Andrés

Carmen currently chairs Fundación Tomillo, a Spanish private socio-educational organisation with more than 40 years of experience, focused on improving the future of the most disadvantaged young people, which she joined as CEO in 2008. For 23 years, she developed her professional career as a business advisor and Non-Executive Director. Committed to impact philanthropy and collaborative models for social improvement, from Tomillo, she has been a co-promoter of Youth Business Spain—a network of organisations supporting youth self-employment—as well as the Spanish Network of Second Chance Schools. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Foundations, the Board of the UBUNTU Global Network, and the Fundación Secretariado Gitano. Co-founder of the foundation Aprendiendo a Ser (Learning to Be), through which she develops the project The Courage to Teach, supporting teachers and educators based on the Circles of Trust methodology of the Center for Courage and Renewal, where she is a certified facilitator.
