Carolina Loureiro
Carolina Loureiro is a youth participation trainer and facilitator with more than 10 years of experience working across youth policy, democratic participation, capacity building and non-formal education. Through the Alapraia project, Carolina supported the development of a strategic approach to strengthen student participation within the school, including the design of a Strategic Plan for the Promotion of Children’s Rights, the development and implementation of school assemblies, and training and capacity-building activities for teachers and educators to support them in facilitating and sustaining participatory processes. Her approach focuses on creating meaningful spaces for young people to express their views, identify priorities, develop solutions and engage with decision-making, while strengthening the capacity of adults and institutions to respond effectively to young people’s participation.
