Gabriela Solomon is the Program Director at the Vâlcea Community Foundation, where she coordinates social impact projects and STEAM education initiatives for the Oltenia region. A graduate in Automation and Computer Science, Gabriela chose to apply the structured thinking of engineering to community development and leadership, serving as a key catalyst for local initiatives and volunteering. Between 2022 and 2024, she was part of the coordination team for Romania’s first Citizens’ Jury in Râmnicu Vâlcea, which focused on sustainable urban mobility. This pilot deliberative process demonstrated how citizens selected through civic lottery can collaborate directly with OECD experts and local authorities to generate more inclusive public policies.
