Jadranka Ivanova

Jadranka is the Team Leader/Approximation Expert for the Sida-funded programme Supporting Albanian Negotiation in Environment, Chapter 27 (SANE27). A lawyer by training, she holds two master’s degrees in public policy and management (Pittsburgh University, USA), and environmental science with legislation and management (Brunel University, UK). She has over 25 years of professional experience in environment and climate change sector as well as drafting environmental legislation in compliance with the EU environment and climate change acquis. Specializing in the EU negotiation process for Chapter 27, Jadranka managed North Macedonia’s national structure for EU negotiations from 2001 to 2018. She also programmed and managed EU IPA I and IPA II funds for the environment, serving as a Senior Program Officer and IPA Coordinator. Since leaving the administration in 2018, she has been supporting the Albanian Ministry of Tourism and Environment along with other institutions in preparing for Chapter 27 EU screening and IPA III programming for the environment and climate change sector. In addition to her professional work, Jadranka is active in the civil society sector, supporting the CSO Institute for Policies in Environment and Climate Change (IPECC) in Skopje, North Macedonia
