Karla Baričević (26) is a data engineer and Computer Science student from Croatia with a strong interest in data science, statistics, and civic participation. She grew up in a small town on the Croatian–Bosnian border, an area where young people are often less engaged in democracy, which shaped her motivation to be active and involved. Alongside her work in IT, Karla takes part in student, environmental, and political organisations and has joined several youth exchanges across Europe. She has also volunteered in different settings, from activities connected with environmental awareness and conservation to cultural events. She is passionate about using data to understand patterns and support decision-making, while also connecting this with social and environmental challenges. With a background in music theory and opera singing, Karla brings both an analytical and creative perspective. She sees hope as something that people can share to strengthen communities and work toward a brighter future.
