A Romanian educator, anthropologist, improviser, and poet, Maria has been guiding the creative movement through transition phases for youth and adults in Europe, the Caucasus and North Africa since 2009. Initially trained as a facilitator of adventure education by Outward Bound, she became the founder of Education Studio, the organisation in Transylvania she led for 7 years before moving to Portugal in 2020. In her MA studies in Cultural Anthropology and Communication Sciences, she explored the impact that experiential learning programs have on community development. She studied Viola Spolin’s improvisation theater with coach Aretha Sills, and she is a Reiki therapist certified by the Portuguese Institute of Naturology. Her poetry has been published in various world magazines, and she featured as a guest on Trafika Europe Radio and the Relocurious podcast. Maria is the founder of Meadows Renewal Experiences, where she offers guidance and practical methods to encounter creative possibilities hidden in the unknown of life.
