Michelle Blanchet

Michelle is a former educator and social impact professional who now serves as Executive Director of The Educators’ Lab. After teaching social studies in the United States and Switzerland, she launched The Educators’ Lab to support teacher-led innovation and advance the evolution of education for a rapidly changing world. Through The Educators’ Lab, Michelle designs and leads professional learning, innovation programs, and accelerators that help educators develop and scale bold solutions to educational challenges. Her work focuses on civic engagement, changemaking, social innovation, and sustainability, helping educators equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and agency to participate in democracy and address complex social and environmental challenges. Michelle has worked with organisations including PBS Education, Ashoka, Getting Smart, the Earth Foundation, and Regenerative Economics for Secondary Schools. She is the co-author of The Startup Teacher Playbook and Preventing Polarization: 50 Strategies for Teaching Kids About Empathy, Politics, and Civic Responsibility. She is also a recipient of a CIF grant for the Civics Through Play project and a member of the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum.
