Xiaoji Song
Xiaoji is an artist, writer, researcher, and community organiser from Wuhan and based in Berlin. They work with bordering practices, notions of securities, and infrastructure of alternative political memories/imaginaries. Operating in the liminal spaces between political theory, practice, and art, they create socially relevant and community-specific experiences through texts, games, and performances, and also regularly collaborate with local networks, grassroot initiatives, NGOs, and various institutions to facilitate workshops and other events aimed at advocacy, civic education, and the empowerment of marginalised communities. Together with Yve Oh and Yumo Cheng, they have founded the interdisciplinary art collective EAST ALIEN COMPANY.
