Ylva Helene Schwenke

Ylva Helene Schwenke is a survivor of the 2011 Utøya terror attack, where she was critically injured at the age of 14. Her experience has shaped her into a strong advocate for democratic values, inclusion, and youth engagement. Ylva has shared her story widely to raise awareness about the impact of extremism and the importance of resilience and belonging. She holds a degree in comparative politics and has been active in public speaking, youth politics, and educational outreach. Currently, she works as a journalist at Forsvarets Forum (The National Defense Magazine).
