Lola Velarde

Lola Velarde is the Director of Development at the European Foundation Society and Education, where she has coordinated socio-educational research, from an inter-disciplinary perspective. She has coordinated European projects such as ACTive Citizenship Projects to Enhance Pupils’ Social and Civic Competences (Erasmus+ Project, Key action 3), the Mapping Non-Formal Civic Education in Spain (2023) or the European Civic Education Collaborative Network. PhD in Forestry Engineering by the Polytechnical University of Madrid. She has been associate professor in the Environment Area of the Rey Juan Carlos University (2003-2011) and visiting professor at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (2004-2006).
