We are a Warsaw-based NGO, focused on fighting social polarisation and supporting responsible, conscious civic participation. Our main tools are civic dialogues and practical workshops on how to have better conversations across differences. At this year’s NECE Festival in Lisbon, we will conduct a Good Conversation Training – sharpening the foundational skills for talking to people who hold opposed views. These skills include active listening, asking curiosity-driven questions, presenting one’s own views and managing tension. Through a series of exercises in pairs and small groups, you will consciously practice something that we all do on a daily basis, often with mixed results: engaging in conversations that foster understanding, joint action, and communal decision-making in the context of social challenges.
